Zusammenfassung: The present article aims to propose an idea of translation not limited exclusively to the field of transposition of a text from a language to another one. Some examples of ‘bordertext’ shall be presented; this kind of writing is characterized by the effects of reshuffling of languages, identities, experiences disseminated in the post-1989 Central European area. A particular attention shall be given to the translation dynamics of the contemporary cultural horizon through texts written by Tawada and Rakusa which are the object of analysis.
