It is a topic of great relevance, since there is no collective awareness of its impact on both health and the economy, therefore on culture at a global level. First, the importance of the topic was recorded, later, through a report issued by the WHO, its effects on health, manufacturing method, and legislation were contextualized. The problem focused on Colombia was covered and some mechanisms to mitigate them were recordedZusammenfassung: El presente escrito pretende informar y educar, desde varios contextos, sobre la exposición de la sociedad, causado por diferentes factores, al consumo de medicamentos o dispositivos médicos falsificados. Es un tema de gran relevancia, ya que no existe una consciencia colectiva de su impacto tanto en la salud, como en la economía, por ende, en la cultura a nivel global. Primero se registró la importancia del tema, posteriormente, por medio de un informe emitido por la OMS, se contextualizó sobre sus efectos en la salud, modo de fabricación y legislación.
