Zusammenfassung: The First International Congress on Innovation and Digital Sustainability (CIISD-2025), organized by the Universidad Técnica Luis Vargas Torres de Esmeraldas, Santo Domingo, is an academic space for reflection, analysis and scientific dissemination that promotes the exchange of experiences among researchers, teachers and national and international professionals. The event is structured around four thematic axes: global economy and new frontiers of trade, covering areas such as economics, finance, marketing and international trade; urban development and intelligent technologies, with emphasis on architecture, urban planning, energy and technological systems applied to infrastructure; education and training in the digital era, where the challenges and opportunities of pedagogy, communication and educational technology are addressed; and technological innovation and digital transformation, focused on trends such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, programming and robotics. These axes allow a comprehensive look at the processes of change that contemporary societies are going through, reaffirming the institutional commitment to sustainable development, inclusion, technology and knowledge at the service of society. The proceedings of the congress include the contributions presented, which contribute to academic strengthening and the construction of future-oriented scientific networksZusammenfassung: El I Congreso Internacional de Innovación y Sostenibilidad Digital (CIISD-2025), organizado por la Universidad Técnica Luis Vargas Torres de Esmeraldas, Sede Santo Domingo, constituye un espacio académico de reflexión, análisis y divulgación científica que promueve el intercambio de experiencias entre investigadores, docentes y profesionales nacionales e internacionales. El evento se estructura en torno a cuatro ejes temáticos: economía global y nuevas fronteras del comercio, que abarca áreas como la economía, finanzas, marketing y comercio internacional; desarrollo urbano y tecnologías inteligentes, con énfasis en la arquitectura, urbanismo, energía y sistemas tecnológicos aplicados a la infraestructura; educación y formación en la era digital, donde se abordan los retos y oportunidades de la pedagogía, la comunicación y la tecnología educativa; e innovación tecnológica y transformación digital, centrado en tendencias como la inteligencia artificial, la ciberseguridad, la programación y la robótica. Estos ejes permiten una mirada integral a los procesos de cambio que atraviesan las sociedades contemporáneas, reafirmando el compromiso institucional con el desarrollo sostenible, la inclusión, la tecnología y el conocimiento al servicio de la sociedad.
