Schlagwörter: Online-Ressourcen: Zusammenfassung: Air transport, both passenger and cargo, in Poland, in the EU and globally is characterized by an upward trend in the long term. Its activities are disrupted by emerging crises. The aim of the study is to characterize contemporary challenges for air transport, in particular as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic and the war in Ukraine. Based on the analysis of statistical data, changes in passenger and cargo air transport were assessed, as well as their impact on the financial result of the aviation industry. However, as a result of our own research, the perception and assessment of market changes as a result of the pandemic were described in a group of travelers as respondents. The opinion of respondents on the use of air transport before and during the pandemic was compared. The results allow conclusions to be drawn about a reduction in the frequency of using air transport or intentionally avoiding this type of transport, a decline in the quality of services, an increase in service time, and changes in the number of routes offered and ticket prices. Factors discouraging air travel or encouraging people to resign from it included: the need to perform coronavirus tests and vaccinations, present certificates, quarantine, lability of regulations and restrictions, increased risk of illness and additional costs, and sanitary requirements. The sector and market recovered to their pre-pandemic state in 2022, but previous levels are expected to equalize only in 2024PPN: PPN: 1983975850Package identifier: Produktsigel: ZDB-94-OAB
