By adopting 10-, 15-, or 20-minute city initiatives, cities are buying into the rationale that since people must travel to spatially dispersed opportunities, bringing origins and destinations closer together enables individuals to reach daily needs using the most universally accessible forms of transport: walking and cycling. Our chapter discusses how these guidelines are incorporating principles long demanded by feminist scholars and how they have the potential to transform the built environment, leading to tangible benefits for women and others.
