Zusammenfassung: The collection of the National Museum in Poznań includes a white-ground lekythos with a black-figure depiction of two Greek warriors surrounded by archers in Scythian attire. The warrior theme was especially popular on Greek vessels in the archaic period. The interpretation of representations according to the historical trend sees in the images of warriors heroes from heroic epics.
